About Tiny Crop Co

Hey, I’m Chris Henderson — welcome to Tiny Crop Co.

This started as a father-son project. My son and I began growing microgreens together at home in 2020, and what started as a hobby quickly turned into something bigger. By 2022, we’d turned it into an actual small business — growing, harvesting, and selling our own microgreens at local farmers markets, through several brick-and-mortar stores, and via Market Wagon.

We ran that business through 2023, until my son developed other interests and I inherited a larger workload at my primary job — between the two, we had to step back.

Along the way we learned a lot doing it the hard way: dialing in germination timing, watering and lighting, troubleshooting mold and uneven trays, and figuring out what actually sells and why. This site is where I document that experience — real techniques, real results, and the honest parts too: what worked, what didn’t, and what we’d do differently.

We’ve stepped back from active sales for now, but the trays, supplies, and seeds are still here — and so is the plan to get growing again and keep sharing what we learn, one tray at a time.

If you’re growing microgreens at home, thinking about selling at a market yourself, or just curious how it’s done, you’re in the right place.
